Use phones, computers or laptops. Hearing a familiar voice, or reading a message from people we love, helps us feel more connected. This is important for our relationship, especially for people who may be feeling lonely, isolated and afraid. 

You can also use video messaging apps like Skype, Viber and Facebook Messenger. Even though you are unable to go outside due to the pandemic, you can see your partners' faces. Do it at least once a day, or whenever you have free time. Giving time to those you care about will keep the love alive. 

 

Keep talking and listening 

It may also be beneficial to agree on a time each day when you and your partner can express how you feel. It could be your problems or what you are grateful for that day.

Sharing feelings without fear of being judged or chastised can help us feel calmer and closer to one another. It may be helpful to remember that everyone is affected by the coronavirus outbreak and may be feeling more anxious and irritable than usual.
